The results are in for the Wigan Post’s Curry House of the Year 2017 competition and the winner is…The Raj!
Curry connoisseurs were asked to pick their favourite restaurant out of a ten-strong shortlist and the Indian eatery on Woodhouse Lane came out on top.
The Raj has been trading for 15 years and has won several awards in its time. The family-owned restaurant recently featured in the Post’s “Eating Out” section, with its food being described as “excellent” and its atmosphere “stylish” and “relaxed”.
The Raj manager, Shiblu, said: “We would like to thank all our customers for voting and helping us win this award!”
